It sure is wonderful having my girls back home safe with me. The house felt far too empty without them.
January 3, 2008 Tossing The Ball
Juliane and Willow are visiting Grammy Jane and Grampy Jim this week, which is ordinarily an excellent opportunity for collecting photos and/or videos for the site. However, in their haste to make it out of the house for an already late departure, Juliane forgot to grab the camera. While ordinarily I might feel disappointed having been deprived of such good fodder for the website, they did leave behind this gem for me to discover on the camera. I guess it all evens out. I hope they're having just as much fun down there with Jim and Jane.

It must be somewhat curious to meet Santa Claus one night and then another slightly different Santa Claus the following night. It'll be even stranger should the neighborhood Santa come around for a visit. For now Willow still seems very trusting about the whole thing. We'll see how long the charade lasts.
December 9, 2007 Christmas Is Coming
This weekend, with the addition of lights, decorations and Christmas songs, the house took on some of that high-quality holiday cheer. As you can imagine, one little girl in particular really seemed to enjoy all of this. Willow spent countless hours looking at and playing with all of the ornaments on the tree. She also carried her stuffed Santa everywhere and sang some truly excellent renditions of "Frosty the Snowman". Now all we need is snow in the yard to build a snowman, and so that Santa can safely land. Happy Holidays everyone!
December 8. 2007 I Think She's Ready For Bed
When Willow starts looking thoroughly content curled up on a hard floor with only a throw rug for a pillow, it's a pretty good indication that she's ready for bed. In fact, within twenty minutes of this photo, she was sound asleep (in her bed).

The fun thing about kids and costumes is that any day can be Halloween. So, for those of you missed Willow on Halloween, she revisited her lion costume this morning. It sure is fun having a lion is the house.
